On October 17th 2020, members of the Canton, Massillon, Alliance, and Tuscarawas County Amateur Radio Clubs came together and helped 97 scouts earn their Radio Merit Badge through Boy Scouts of America at Camp Tuscazoar. Also happening over the weekend was the annual scouting Jamboree-On-The-Air, and almost every scout got to make at least 1 QSO. Special Event callsign K8T was in use.
Thanks to the members who assisted with this event, including those of you who helped out at home by making QSO with the scouts over local repeaters.
The information we have found so far indicates that this may have been one of the largest groups of scouts to earn the Radio Merit Badge in a single session.
